Hongdae Street, the name of the street in Korea.

A large commercial district located around Hongik University, Hongdae Station, and Sangsu Station. Hongdae in Hongdae Street is short for Hongik University. After the opening of Hongdae Station, Seogyo-dong, Sangsu-dong, or Indie Scene, where distinctive commercial districts are maintained, were commonly referred to as Hongdae Street and settled under the name "Hongdae Street."

Of course, in reality, just as the abbreviations of university names such as Konkuk University and Ewha Womans University are used quite often as the names of the main street, there are also many cases in which they are simply called "Hongdae."

Seoul's famous university main streets are Daehak-ro, located near Shinchon, Ewha Womans University, Sungshin Women's University, Seoul National University's Sinlim-Seoul University Entrance Zone (Sharosu-gil), and Konkuk University Street east of Seoul, but Hongdae Street has become one of Seoul's most popular attractions beyond university downtown to overwhelm all of them.

Now, the Hongdae area has become so large that it is a little difficult to name a business district by a university name, which is also a place where many tourists from home and abroad come.

Due to the nature of Hongdae, there are many people busking on the streets. There are many different places besides busking and restaurants on the main street, and there are various restaurants and clothing stores in the alley.

This is the atmosphere of Hongdae's alley.
