A statue of General MacArthur in the Battle of Inchon (Operation Chromite)

This is a free park in Incheon, Korea, where the statue of General MacArthur, the commander of the Incheon Landing Operation, is located.

It's a picture I took there. He left his image as a statue, and this war is meaningful in many ways, and it is said that the U.S. is grateful for helping Korea.

Without these results, Korea might have changed in many ways. I think it was that important a victory in a war.

Battle of Inchon (Operation Chromite) was a landing operation conducted by the United Nations and the Republic of Korea Army on September 15, 1950, under the command of Douglas MacArthur.

The U.N. commander, Marshal MacArthur, planned the landing operation in Incheon during the Korean War, but faced opposition from the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Navy for various reasons.

However, MacArthur chose Incheon, and as he expected, Incheon's defense posture was sloppy. The U.N. forces easily recaptured Incheon and knocked down the front lines.

In the early days of the war, the U.S. military was defeated by the Korean People's Army and pushed down to Gyeongsang Province, but the war situation was reversed when the operation, which took control of the waist of the Korean Peninsula, was successful.

The Incheon Landing Operation immediately overturned the war situation of the Korean War, which had been inferior to that of the Republic of Korea and the UN. This operation allowed the Korean People's Army to be expelled from Incheon and Seoul.

After the success of the landing operation, the North Korean military in the south collapsed rapidly, and the South Korean and UN forces marched north of the 38th parallel.

Many military scholars also call it the greatest military operation in the history of the 20th century. American military historian Spencer C. Tucker praised the Incheon landing operation as "a brilliant success and almost flawless execution".

His statue is in Korea, and it is located in a hill called "Free Park" where you can see the location of the Incheon Landing Operation.
